2. Information and Consent

The Personal Data Protection Law (hereinafter “PDPL”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, hereinafter “GDPR”) ensure the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data.

Under the law, “personal data” means any information, of any kind and regardless of the medium, including sound and images, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, and therefore does not cover data relating to legal entities.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, the user provides their informed, explicit, free, and unequivocal consent for the personal data submitted through the website https://www.componatura.pt/ to be included in a file under the responsibility of Componatura, which processes it in accordance with the PDPL and GDPR, implementing appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

Componatura maintains a database with records of its clients. The data in this database consist solely of the information provided by the clients themselves at the time of registration, and are collected and processed automatically in accordance with the terms approved by the National Data Protection Commission, by Componatura, the entity responsible for the corresponding file.

Under no circumstances will information regarding philosophical or political beliefs, party or union membership, religious faith, private life, racial or ethnic origin, as well as health and sexual life, including genetic data, be requested.

Under no circumstances will Componatura carry out any of the following activities with personal data provided through this website:

  • Disclose it to other individuals or entities without the prior consent of the data subject;

  • Transfer it outside the European Economic Area (EEA) without the prior consent of the data subject.

3. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

The personal data processed through this website will be used solely for the following purposes:

Componatura guarantees the confidentiality of all data provided by its clients. Furthermore, the user consents to access information related to the service contracted with Componatura in order to offer additional services beyond those contracted.

At the time of personal data collection, except in fields where otherwise indicated, the user may voluntarily provide personal data without any reduction in the quality or quantity of the corresponding services (unless otherwise specified). However, failure to provide data considered mandatory will prevent access to the service for which the data was requested.

If the user does not agree with the above conditions, Componatura will not be able to enter into a contract with the user through its website.

Componatura declares that it has implemented and will continue to implement the necessary technical and organizational security measures to ensure the protection of the personal data provided, aiming to prevent unauthorized alteration, loss, processing, and/or access, taking into account the current state of technology, the nature of the stored data, and the risks to which it may be exposed.

Componatura guarantees the confidentiality of all data provided by its clients, whether during registration or in the process of purchasing/ordering products or services. Data collection and processing are conducted securely to prevent loss or manipulation. All data will be stored on a Secure Server (128-bit SSL) which encrypts/codes the information. Users can verify that their browser connection is secure if a padlock symbol appears or if the address begins with https rather than http.

Personal data are processed with the legally required level of protection to ensure their security and prevent unauthorized alteration, loss, processing, or access, considering the state of technology. Users acknowledge and accept that Internet security measures are not impregnable.

Whenever Componatura accesses any personal data, it commits to:

  • Storing the data through legally required technical and organizational security measures that ensure their protection, thus preventing unauthorized alteration, loss, processing, or access, in accordance with the current state of technology, the nature of the data, and the potential risks to which they may be exposed;

  • Using the data exclusively for the purposes previously defined;

  • Ensuring that data are processed only by employees whose intervention is necessary for the provision of the service, who are bound by a duty of secrecy and confidentiality. In the event that information is disclosed to third parties, these must also be bound to maintain proper confidentiality in accordance with this document.

6. Commercial and Promotional Communications

One of the purposes for which we process personal data provided by users is to send electronic communications containing information regarding commercial and promotional content.

In accordance with the provisions of the LPDP and the GDPR, users may at any time exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability by submitting a request through any of the following means:

8. Supervisory Authority

Componatura is registered with the Portuguese National Data Protection Commission and is a member of ACEPI – the Portuguese E-Commerce Association.

Under the law, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data with the competent supervisory authority, the Portuguese National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).
