Alternative Dispute Resolution

The European Union has created a website to support consumers in submitting complaints about any dispute in which they are involved. In this context, Componatura provides all the necessary information so that you can exercise your right to lodge a complaint with an official, independent third party (“dispute resolution entity”) that will help resolve the dispute in question.

Therefore, if you are dissatisfied with the purchase of a good or service on our website, or with the solution we have provided to resolve the situation, you can access this official website: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home2.show&lng=PT and submit your complaint.

What is alternative dispute resolution?

Alternative dispute resolution is the option available to all consumers to turn to official entities that assist in resolving or guiding a conflict before initiating legal proceedings in court.
In general, the procedure is as follows: the client requests that an impartial third party act as an intermediary between themselves and the merchant who is the subject of the complaint. The intermediary may suggest a solution for the complaint, impose a solution on both parties, or bring the parties together to find a solution.
You may know the concept of alternative dispute resolution by other names: mediation, conciliation, arbitration, or a consumer dispute resolution committee.
Alternative dispute resolution is usually less costly, less formal, and faster than judicial proceedings.

Componatura provides the websites of some of these entities that can help you present your case:
